
On October 5, another meeting of the Austrian-Turkmen Society was held at the Yyldyz Hotel in Ashgabat. The meeting was attended by the Chairwoman of the Society, Neda Berger, representatives of Austrian and Turkmen companies, as well as cultural and artistic figures.
The agenda included welcoming addresses by the President of the Society, the Ambassador of Turkmenistan to Austria, the Secretary General and the Vice President of the Society, as well as a celebration of the 35th anniversary of Turkmenistan’s independence, which is observed on September 27.
A separate item on the agenda was the World Equestrian Championship in Pilbergen (Kingdom of the Netherlands), held from September 4 to 6, 2026. Turkmenistan and Turkmen Akhal-Teke horses participated in the championship for the first time. In this context, the participants were shown a speech by Hero-Arkadag Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov, Neda Berger’s speech at the international scientific conference “The Turkmen Horse – A Symbol of Our Time,” as well as the participation of renowned European singer and member of the Society’s Board Konstantin Rittel-Kobylianski in the programme of the festive concert.
In addition, the participants were presented with the Society’s updated website, featuring new sections, as well as a new project entitled “The Voice of Turkmen Youth Today – The Voice of the Turkmenistan of Tomorrow,” implemented with the participation of representatives of the younger generation. Projects for the anniversary event scheduled to take place in Ashgabat in 2027 were also discussed, and participants shared their views and proposals.
The meeting was attended by representatives of Austrian and Turkmen companies, as well as cultural and artistic figures.

Also present were Professor Dr. David Pommerenke of the Institute of Electronics at Graz University of Technology and Dr. Elena Greschner, Director of GRESCHNER Event Agency.
Turkmenistan was represented by Batyr Taganov, Director of the economic entity “Bash Taglym Turkmen” (Baker Tilly) and Vice President of the Society; Amanmuhammed Ojarov and Anna Ojarova, Director and representative of TMT / “Ojar Asia”; Durdymurad Charyev, Director of the economic entity “Dovlet Gurlushyk”; Baba Oranyazov and Arslan Oranyazov, Directors of the economic entity “Turkmen Senet”; Rahim Begjanov, Director of the economic entity “Gozly”; H.S. Seyidov, Director of the Yyldyz Hotel under the Office of the President of Turkmenistan; and G. Nurmyradov, Director General of Turkmen Portal.
Among the artistic figures were German opera singer Konstantin Rittel-Kobylianski (Düsseldorf), Musical Director, pianist and vocal instructor Ella Pasik (Israel), as well as dancer and choreographer Dimitar Stefanin (Austria), winner of several international “Dancing Stars” competitions.
