Turkmenistan’s Consul General Meets Istanbul Governor

Turkmenistan’s Consul General in the Republic of Turkey, Owezgeldi Jumanazarov, held talks with Istanbul Governor Davut Gül at the Governorate building. During the meeting, the parties noted the ongoing development of Turkmen-Turkish cooperation in trade and economic relations, culture, education, healthcare, and sports.

Both sides emphasised the importance of further strengthening bilateral relations based on friendship, mutual respect, and mutually beneficial partnership. The discussion also covered preparations for events dedicated to the 35th anniversary of Turkmenistan’s independence, as well as initiatives under the 2026 motto: “Independent, permanently neutral Turkmenistan – homeland of determined, winged horses.”
