Starting from October 1, 2026, foreign citizens will be able to apply for electronic visas (e-Visa) to enter Turkmenistan. This was announced by the State Migration Service of Turkmenistan.

The launch of the electronic visa system is part of efforts to digitalize migration services and improve the efficiency of administrative procedures.

According to the State Migration Service, the use of e-Visas will allow foreign citizens to reduce the time required for document processing and completing the necessary procedures. The new format also provides for a transition to electronic document management and the simplification of a number of processes related to entry into the country.

For foreign citizens, the launch of the e-Visa system will provide a new electronic tool for processing documents required to enter Turkmenistan.
