Private Sector in Action: Talks with ITOCHU Corporation

A working meeting took place between Ojar Aziya and TMT Consulting Group on one side and the Japanese corporation ITOCHU Corporation on the other. The participants discussed priority areas of cooperation that are of mutual practical interest.

Ojar Aziya presented investment projects aimed at developing the country’s transit, logistics, and industrial potential, including the construction of the Serakhs–Mary–Serhetabat (SMS) expressway, the establishment of a hotel complex and auto-camping site, and an integrated production facility in Mary Province, all designed to stimulate regional development and enhance cross-border zones.

ITOCHU Corporation, for its part, expressed interest in collaboration in the supply and acquisition of KOMATSU equipment, as well as in projects within the processing and industrial cooperation sectors. The parties agreed to continue detailed discussions to prepare practical and economically viable joint projects capable of delivering tangible results in the medium term.

The role of TMT Consulting Group as a co-organiser of the upcoming International Forum on Attracting Investment into Turkmenistan’s Private Sector, “Investing in Turkmenistan’s Future” (IFT 2026) was also highlighted, with the Forum’s management inviting guests to participate in the event.
