
On September 15, 2026, during the state visit of the President of Turkmenistan Serdar Berdimuhamedov to the Republic of Korea, an Agreement was signed to establish the first Turkmen-Korean joint venture “Yerli Tor”.
The establishment of “Yerli Tor” is intended to contribute to the development of production capacity, the exchange of advanced international expertise, and the strengthening of business ties between representatives of the Turkmen and Korean business communities. The joint venture is being established with the aim of localizing production and developing high-tech infrastructure in Turkmenistan.
The Agreement marks an important practical outcome of the development of trade and economic cooperation between the two countries and opens up new opportunities for implementing joint projects, attracting investment, and introducing modern technologies into the economy of Turkmenistan.
According to experts, the Agreement on the establishment of the first Turkmen-Korean joint venture is a notable example of expanding international business cooperation between the two countries.
