
Türkmennebit Discusses Joint Project Implementation With Petronas
On October 21, 2025, the Chairman of the State Concern “Türkmennebit,” G. Agajanov, met with a delegation from the Malaysian company PETRONAS, which arrived in Ashgabat to participate in a series of business negotiations timed to coincide with the Turkmenistan International Energy Exhibition.
The delegation included Deputy Vice President Mohd Jukris Abdul Wahab, Vice President Mohd Redhani Abdul Rahman, General Director of PETRONAS Carigali (Turkmenistan) Sdn Bhd Ismadi bin Ismail, Director of Strategy and Commercial Operations Azahari Mohd Shuid, and company representative Albert Mehdiyev.
During the negotiations, the parties discussed the current status and prospects for joint projects in the oil and gas sector, including improving hydrocarbon production efficiency, implementing advanced technologies, and expanding investment.
The head of the State Concern “Türkmennebit,” G. Agajanov, noted the successful long-term cooperation with PETRONAS and expressed confidence in the further strengthening of the partnership aimed at the sustainable development of Turkmenistan’s energy sector.
In anticipation of the Turkmenistan International Energy Exhibition, which will be held October 22–24, 2025, in Ashgabat, a working meeting was held between representatives of Schlumberger Logelco Inc. and the management of the State Concern “Türkmengaz.”
During the talks, the parties discussed expanding cooperation in the oil and gas industry, exchanged views on the application of modern technologies, and the prospects for joint projects in Turkmenistan.
Schlumberger, a global leader in oilfield services, presented its new technological solutions aimed at improving the efficiency of drilling and geophysical operations.
