Turkmenistan’s GDP Rises by 6.3% in January

In January 2026, Turkmenistan’s gross domestic product grew by 6.3% compared with the same month last year. Industrial output increased by 2%, construction by 6%, transport and communications by 9.3%, trade by 8.2%, agriculture by 2%, and services by 8.5%. Total production rose by 10%, while retail turnover grew by 10.1%.

Investment from all funding sources increased by 21.3%, with the government budget’s revenue plan met at 102.2% and expenditure at 97.1%. President Serdar Berdimuhamedow emphasised the importance of maintaining stable GDP growth and instructed the continuation of measures to develop sectors and achieve the targets set for 2026.
