
Turkmenistan and Pakistan Prepare New Agreements in Trade, Logistics, and Culture
There are currently 48 memoranda of understanding in force between Turkmenistan and Pakistan, serving as a foundation for developing institutional mechanisms of bilateral cooperation. This was stated by the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Pakistan to Turkmenistan, Dr. Faryal Leghari, in an article published today in the newspaper Neutral Turkmenistan.
According to her, additional agreements are being prepared, covering areas such as trade, multimodal logistics including seaports, culture, education, and tourism. These steps reflect Ashgabat’s and Islamabad’s intention to strengthen close political ties and expand economic interaction.
The Ambassador emphasized that the priorities in relations between the two countries remain their shared economic and energy interests. Among the key joint projects are the TAPI gas pipeline and the TAP power project, both of which contribute to strengthening strategic partnership in the energy sector.
