Turkmenistan and Germany’s Rhineland-Palatinate Strengthen Business Dialogue

Turkmenistan and the German federal state of Rhineland-Palatinate are exploring prospects for trade, economic, and cultural cooperation. As part of a working visit to Mainz, the capital of the state, the Consul of Turkmenistan in Germany, Murad Ozbekbayev, held a series of meetings with key regional representatives, including Petra Dick-Walter, State Secretary of the Ministry of Economic Affairs, Transport, Agriculture, and Viticulture, as well as the leadership of the Rheinhessen Chamber of Commerce and Industry.

В ходе переговоров стороны подчеркнули важность развития прямых контактов между региональными торгово-промышленными палатами и бизнес-кругами. Особое внимание было уделено таким перспективным направлениям, как энергетика, химическая промышленность, аграрный сектор, фармацевтика, биотехнологии, а также машиностроение и высокие технологии.

During the talks, the parties emphasized the importance of developing direct contacts between regional chambers of commerce and industry, as well as business communities. Special attention was given to promising areas such as energy, the chemical industry, agriculture, pharmaceuticals, biotechnology, mechanical engineering, and high technologies.

It was noted that fruitful cooperation between Turkmenistan and Rhineland-Palatinate holds great potential. The German side was thoroughly informed about Turkmenistan’s trade and economic opportunities. Both sides expressed mutual interest in organizing bilateral visits and joint business events in the near future. In particular, the Rheinhessen Chamber of Commerce and Industry, which unites around 42,000 member companies, expressed its interest in establishing and expanding business contacts with Turkmenistan’s business community.
