The President of Turkmenistan Oversees Regional Construction and Development

The President of Turkmenistan, Serdar Berdimuhamedow, held a work meeting with Deputy Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers T. Atakhallyyev and the governors of the provinces, where issues concerning the development of the agro-industrial complex and the implementation of social, cultural, and industrial construction projects in the regions were discussed.

The Head of State emphasised the significance of the agro-industrial sector for the national economy, noting that the quality of agricultural products depends directly on adherence to agrotechnical standards. During the meeting, measures were discussed to ensure the timely preparation of agricultural machinery, provision of high-quality seeds to producers, and compliance with all agrotechnical timelines for the maintenance of wheat and cotton fields, as well as overseeing sugar beet harvesting in Mary Province and the settlement of payments between producers and servicing agencies.

Special attention was given to the construction of social, cultural, and industrial facilities in the regions. The President instructed that all necessary measures be taken to ensure the timely and high-quality completion of these projects and encouraged the attraction of investments for infrastructure modernisation. The Head of State noted that the implementation of these initiatives creates additional opportunities for domestic and international investors and strengthens Turkmenistan’s position as an attractive destination for investment in the region.
