President of Turkmenistan Serdar Berdimuhamedov will attend the first “Central Asia-Republic of Korea” summit, Turkmen state media reported Friday.

Several bilateral documents are expected to be signed during the state visit, covering cooperation in areas including the economy, investment, transport and logistics, chemical industry, infrastructure, industrial construction, environmental protection, water management, science and education.

Relations between Turkmenistan and the Republic of Korea are successfully developing within the framework of the “Central Asia-Republic of Korea” Cooperation Forum. Turkmenistan Chaired the forum in 2023, and its 16th meeting was held in Ashgabat.
