Today, Ambassador of India to Turkmenistan Bandaru Wilsonbabu hosted a business luncheon with representatives of the private sector, during which the sides discussed the areas of economic cooperation and the expansion of business ties between the two countries.

The meeting provided a platform for exchanging views on the development of trade, investment, and partnerships between Indian and Turkmen companies. Particular attention was paid to opportunities for strengthening direct business contacts and implementing new joint projects.

It was noted that India and Turkmenistan have significant potential for mutually beneficial cooperation in such areas as pharmaceuticals, healthcare, information technology, agriculture, energy and tourism.

Participants emphasized that Turkmenistan is an important partner for India in Central Asia, while the combination of the two countries’ production and technological potential creates good opportunities for developing long-term business partnerships.

The Indian side expressed its interest in further expanding cooperation with the Turkmen private sector and supporting new initiatives aimed at strengthening economic and friendly ties between India and Turkmenistan.
