German Companies Show Interest in Turkmenistan-Pakistan-Afghanistan Joint Projects

Turkmenistan’s аmbassador to Pakistan, Atajan Movlamov, met on Monday in Islamabad with Germany’s аmbassador to Pakistan, Ina Lepel. During the discussion, the German diplomat emphasized that German companies are actively interested in participating in projects initiated by Turkmenistan in infrastructure and energy sectors involving Pakistan and Afghanistan.

Movlamov outlined details of these initiatives, highlighting their potential to stimulate economic growth and strengthen regional connectivity, according to a statement from the Turkmen Embassy in Pakistan.

The two diplomats also discussed current regional developments and agreed on shared cooperation priorities.

At the conclusion of the meeting, both sides reaffirmed their commitment to advancing bilateral, regional, and multilateral projects between Turkmenistan and Germany aimed at enhancing stability and expanding partnerships.

Turkmenistan, Afghanistan, and Pakistan are implementing several major trilateral projects in energy and infrastructure to boost regional cooperation and promote economic development. These include the TAPI gas pipeline (Turkmenistan–Afghanistan–Pakistan–India) and the TAP high-voltage power transmission line (Turkmenistan–Afghanistan–Pakistan), which provides stable energy supplies to the participating countries.
