Ashgabat to Host 6th Turkmen–Hungarian Intergovernmental Economic Commission meeting

The sixth session of the Turkmen–Hungarian Intergovernmental Commission on Economic Cooperation will be held in Ashgabat this September, Deputy Prime Minister Hojamyrat Geldimyradov announced during a regular meeting of the Cabinet of Ministers on Thursday.

According to the Deputy Prime Minister, the agenda of the upcoming meeting will include discussions on strengthening bilateral cooperation in trade and economy, energy, textile industry, and transport, as reported by Turkmenistan’s official media.

The talks will also cover a wide range of areas including agriculture, food security, environmental protection, water resource management, social issues, science, education, healthcare, pharmaceuticals, culture, sports, and tourism.

A draft protocol and a relevant resolution have been prepared in advance for the meeting.

Following the report, President of Turkmenistan Serdar Berdimuhamedov signed a document approving the composition of the Turkmen delegation to the commission.

The fifth session of the Turkmen–Hungarian Intergovernmental Commission was held via videoconference on 16 May 2023.
