A meeting of the Ministers of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan and the Russian Federation was held in Ashgabat

On June 25, 2025, a meeting was held at the MFA of Turkmenistan between the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan R.O. Meredov and the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Russian Federation S.V. Lavrov, who arrived in Ashgabat on a visit.

During the meeting with the participation of representatives of the Foreign Ministries of the two countries, the parties discussed key aspects of interaction between Turkmenistan and the Russian Federation in the political, diplomatic, trade, economic, cultural and humanitarian spheres. The fruitful nature of the Turkmen-Russian partnership in multilateral formats, including the UN, the CIS, the Caspian "five", as well as "Central Asia - Russia" format was noted.

At the meeting, issues related to trade-economic, cultural and humanitarian cooperation between the two countries were discussed in detail. Following the meeting, a signing ceremony of the Cooperation Program between the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Russian Federation for 2025-2026 took place.
