From October 7 to 9, the Avaza National Tourist Zone in Turkmenistan is serving as a venue for a series of international meetings and forums bringing together representatives of governments, business communities and expert circles.

The extensive business and public programme includes a meeting of the Council of Heads of State of the Commonwealth of Independent States (CIS), a consultative meeting of the leaders of Central Asian countries and Azerbaijan, the Caspian Environmental Summit, as well as thematic conferences, exhibitions and cultural events.

Exhibitions and cultural projects, concerts and national cuisine festivals are an important part of the programme.

Environmental issues will be an important part of the international agenda. Particular attention will be paid to the state of the Caspian Sea, environmental protection, water resources and the sustainable use of the region’s natural potential. The Caspian Environmental Summit and related meetings will provide opportunities to exchange experience and develop common approaches to addressing environmental challenges.

International events in Avaza contribute to strengthening regional dialogue, expanding cooperation and developing new contacts among government institutions, the expert community and the business sector. For Turkmenistan, hosting such an extensive international programme also creates additional opportunities to showcase the country’s economic and tourism potential on the regional and international stage.
