2025: China Imported Turkmen Gas Worth USD 8.41 Billion

In 2025, China imported Turkmen natural gas worth USD 8.41 billion, reaffirming Turkmenistan’s position as one of the leading suppliers of energy resources to the Chinese market. Supplies are delivered via three strings (A, B and C) of the Turkmenistan-China gas pipeline, with an annual volume of around 40 billion cubic metres. Following the commissioning of Line D, exports are expected to increase to 65 billion cubic metres.

Additional momentum to bilateral cooperation will come from the launch of industrial development of the fourth phase of the Galkynysh gas field by CNPC, with a design capacity of 10 billion cubic metres per year, against the backdrop of total trade turnover between the two countries reaching USD 9.16 billion in January-November.
