Motorway Investment Project: Enhancing Turkmenistan’s Transit Capacity
Ojar Aziya confirms its readiness to implement the Sarahs–Mary–Serhetabat (SMS) motorway investment project, aimed at integrating the international transport corridors North–South, Lapis Lazuli and East–West within the territory of Turkmenistan. The project is proposed for implementation on a fully investment-based basis and does not envisage the use of state budget funding.
The planned SMS motorway is intended to establish a direct transport link connecting Central Asia with the Middle East, South Asia and European markets. Its integration into the existing multimodal transport infrastructure will contribute to reduced cargo transit times and improved efficiency of logistics operations for participants in international trade.
The implementation of the Sarahs–Mary–Serhetabat motorway through private investment is regarded as a significant contribution to strengthening Turkmenistan’s transit potential and expanding the region’s international transport connectivity. The motorway is positioned as a commercially oriented infrastructure asset designed for long-term operation.
Ojar Aziya expresses its openness to cooperation with investors, logistics operators and international partners interested in participating in the project. The initiative is viewed as a practical platform for the development of sustainable transport solutions that meet contemporary requirements of international trade and transit.
