Turkmenistan, Iran Discuss Key Areas of Bilateral Cooperation

Turkmenistan’s Deputy Foreign Minister Ahmet Gurbanov met Friday with an Iranian delegation led by Abdoljalal Iri, Chairman of the Iran-Turkmenistan Parliamentary Friendship Group, according to the Foreign Ministry of Turkmenistan.

The meeting focused on strengthening bilateral cooperation in areas such as interparliamentary relations, energy, transport, trade, culture, and education.

Both sides emphasized the importance of interparliamentary dialogue and noted the effective work of the Parliamentary Friendship Group in fostering legislative-level ties. Upcoming joint initiatives and events were also discussed.

At the conclusion of the talks, the parties reaffirmed the considerable potential for expanding Turkmen-Iranian cooperation based on principles of good neighborliness and mutual respect.
