The State Committee for the Construction of Arkadag City under the President of Turkmenistan and the Asian Development Bank (ADB) signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) on Saturday in the city of Arkadag. The document aims to strengthen cooperation in the fields of energy, water resources, and urban development through the use of digital solutions and environmentally friendly technologies.

The agreement outlines the implementation of energy- and water-saving solutions, the development of renewable energy sources, the reuse of resources, and the exchange of expertise in infrastructure project implementation.

Berdimuhamedov expressed confidence that the MoU would serve as a solid foundation for advancing joint initiatives in sustainable development and high technologies. He also highlighted the potential establishment of a nursing education center in Arkadag City, as part of ongoing projects supported by the charitable foundation bearing his name.

Turkmenistan’s cooperation with ADB includes completed projects in the energy and railway sectors, along with technical assistance totaling more than $12 million.
