
Turkmen Ambassador Meets with New Prime Minister of Korea
Turkmenistan’s Ambassador to the Republic of Korea, Begench Durdyyev, took part in the opening of the international conference titled “Global Cooperation for Hydrocarbon Neutrality and Green Development”, held in Seoul on August 22, 2025. During the event, the diplomat met with newly appointed Prime Minister Kim Min-sok and members of the South Korean government, the Embassy of Turkmenistan in the Republic of Korea reported.
In a separate conversation with the head of the Cabinet, Ambassador Durdyev conveyed greetings from the leadership of Turkmenistan, congratulated Prime Minister Kim on his appointment, and expressed confidence in the continued development of bilateral cooperation.
The Korean side thanked the ambassador for the warm remarks and reaffirmed its interest in expanding cooperation with Central Asian countries, including Turkmenistan, across various sectors.
Earlier, on August 15, 2025, as part of events marking the 80th anniversary of Korea’s Liberation Day, Ambassador Durdyev briefly met with President of the Republic of Korea, Lee Jae-myung.
