On October 30–31, the Turkmenistan Economic Days were successfully held in Frankfurt am Main, Germany, organized by the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Turkmenistan with the support of TMT Consulting Group. The event brought together more than 230 participants, highlighting the growing interest in joint projects in the fields of trade, investment, and technology. The Turkmen delegation was headed by Mr. Nokerguly Atagulyev, Deputy Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers of Turkmenistan. The delegation also included representatives of key ministries and government agencies. The forum gathered representatives from over 50 leading German companies, banks, and industry associations, as well as 51 Turkmen companies and several government institutions.
Speakers at the plenary and breakout sessions included representatives of government bodies and major companies from both countries, among them CLAAS Global Sales GmbH, John Deere International GmbH, Thyssenkrupp Uhde GmbH, and a number of Turkmen enterprises from both the public and private sectors. Participants discussed opportunities to expand energy cooperation, introduce green technologies, develop logistics infrastructure, and advance the digitalization of the economy. On the second day of the forum, participants visited the headquarters of BASF, Wirtgen Group, AKA Ausfuhrkreditgesellschaft GmbH, and the Frankfurt Economic Development Agency.
Following the event, the outcomes included:
• The signing of 12 Memorandums of Understanding and Cooperation between Turkmen and German companies;
• More than 86 B2B meetings and negotiations aimed at developing joint projects;
• 38 B2G meetings and discussions focused on government-business partnerships.
The forum marked an important step in strengthening Turkmen-German cooperation, confirming the strong mutual interest in long-term investment and technological projects. Both sides expressed confidence that the agreements reached and the new partnerships established will serve as a solid foundation for further joint initiatives in the near future.
