IFT 2026: An International Investment Platform of State Significance

The International Investment Forum “Investments in the Future of Turkmenistan” (IFT 2026) is emerging as one of the key events on the 2026 business agenda and an important element of the State strategy aimed at developing the private sector and attracting investment into the national economy.

Preparations for the Forum are being carried out with the active involvement of профильных государственных структур and remain under close consideration at the highest level. During a meeting of the Cabinet of Ministers of Turkmenistan, chaired by the President of Turkmenistan, Serdar Berdimuhamedow, the issue of preparations for the International Exhibition marking the 18th anniversary of the establishment of the Union of Industrialists and Entrepreneurs of Turkmenistan, as well as for the International Forum “Investments in the Future of Turkmenistan” (IFT 2026), was reviewed.

The Head of State emphasised the priority importance of private sector development, the enhancement of entrepreneurial activity, and the expansion of investment co-operation. Instructions were given to ensure that the forthcoming events are organised at a high professional level, which confirms the strategic status of the Forum within the system of national economic priorities.

IFT 2026 will focus on priority areas reflecting Turkmenistan’s socio-economic development strategy:

—  private sector development
—  public–private partnership
—  agrarian and food security
—  growth of investment in infrastructure and transport
—  digital transformation

These areas form the foundation for sustainable growth and the modernisation of the national economy, creating favourable conditions for long-term and mutually beneficial international co-operation.

A Platform for Practical Outcomes

IFT 2026 is designed to deliver tangible results — facilitating substantive negotiations, the signing of agreements, and the launch of investment projects with subsequent implementation. The Forum will be held in parallel with the International Exhibition of Turkmenistan’s Private Sector, creating additional synergy and enabling participants to effectively utilise B2B, B2G and B2C engagement formats.

IFT 2026 is not merely a business event, but a strategic national investment platform bringing together the State, business community and international partners to shape a sustainable economic future for Turkmenistan.
