Turkmen–Uzbek Trade Surpasses the USD 1 Billion Mark

Trade turnover between Turkmenistan and Uzbekistan has confidently exceeded the USD 1 billion threshold, confirming the steady momentum of bilateral economic relations. In January–November 2025, mutual trade reached USD 1.064 billion, surpassing the figure recorded over the same period last year. The main contribution came from Turkmen exports to the Uzbek market, which amounted to USD 926.2 million, placing Turkmenistan eighth among Uzbekistan’s largest import partners.

Imports from Uzbekistan to Turkmenistan also increased, reaching USD 138.2 million - significantly higher than the previous year’s level. Particularly notable was the November performance, when trade turnover grew by nearly USD 188 million in a single month, reflecting the deepening trade partnership and the growing mutual interest of the two neighbouring economies.
