Turkmenistan–Turkey trade turnover totals $2.2 billion

The Turkish Minister of Trade, Ömer Bolat, participated in the opening ceremony of the 12th exhibition of Turkish export goods in Turkmenistan. During his speech, he stated that in 2025 the bilateral trade volume between Turkmenistan and Turkey reached $2.2 billion, with the strategic goal of increasing it to $5 billion.

From the Turkmen side, the event was attended by the Deputy Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers of Turkmenistan, Nokerguly Atagulyyev. Ömer Bolat emphasised that trade and economic cooperation between the two countries is becoming more dynamic and diversified. Despite challenges in the global economy, both sides have managed to achieve growth in mutual trade.

According to the Minister, the target of reaching $5 billion in bilateral trade was set by the Presidents of Turkey and Turkmenistan, and efforts to achieve this goal continue. The Turkish side presented 87 stands from companies and exporters’ associations, covering a total area of 1,396 square metres. Such extensive participation is expected to further strengthen the trade and economic ties between Turkmenistan and Turkey.
