Turkmenistan’s Ambassador Presents Credentials to IRENA Chief in Abu Dhabi

On 24 February in Abu Dhabi, Turkmenistan’s Ambassador to the UAE, Bayram Bayramov, presented his credentials to Francesco La Camera, Director-General of the International Renewable Energy Agency (IRENA), officially assuming his duties as Turkmenistan’s permanent representative to the organisation. The ceremony was held in accordance with the President’s decree of 10 February.

Following the ceremony, the parties held a meeting to discuss prospects for cooperation. Particular focus was given to joint green hydrogen projects and the implementation of renewable energy technologies in Turkmenistan’s energy sector.

The meeting concluded with both sides reaffirming their commitment to continue strategic dialogue and to strengthen Turkmenistan’s role in regional energy security and international environmental diplomacy.
