Turkmenistan and ESCAP Discuss Transport and Energy Cooperation

In Ashgabat, the Foreign Minister of Turkmenistan Rashid Meredov met with ESCAP Deputy Executive Secretary Shombi Sharp to discuss cooperation in the transport and energy sectors.
The meeting also addressed sustainable development issues in the context of the UN Sustainable Development Goals. Earlier, Sharp noted that Turkmenistan’s cooperation with ESCAP is moving into a phase of targeted implementation across key areas, including trade, connectivity, energy transition, and digital development.
