Turkmenistan’s national satellite, TürkmenÄlem 52°E, covers Europe, the Middle East, North Africa, Central Asia, the CIS countries, and parts of Asia, reaching more than 1.2 billion people.

Launched in 2015, the satellite marked a major step in the development of Turkmenistan’s telecommunications infrastructure and international connectivity. Projects involving the satellite contribute to expanding transit routes between Europe and Asia, increasing network capacity, and strengthening Turkmenistan’s role as a key regional communications hub.
