President of Russia Vladimir Putin to Visit Turkmenistan in December

Russian President Vladimir Putin will pay an official visit to Turkmenistan in December at the invitation of President Serdar Berdimuhamedov to take part in a forum dedicated to the International Year of Peace and Trust. The visit was announced by Presidential Aide Mr Ushakov during a briefing.
Putin is expected to attend the forum on 12 December. The visit is timed to mark the 30th anniversary of Turkmenistan’s status of permanent Neutrality.
Mr Ushakov also noted that on 21–22 December the Russian President will be in St Petersburg for an informal meeting of the CIS leaders.
