Peace, Trust and Neutrality: A Course Towards International Understanding

A ceremonial event entitled “The International Year of Peace and Trust: Confident Steps of Neutral Turkmenistan” was held at the Mekan Palace in Ashgabat, bringing together representatives of the Government, the diplomatic corps, international organisations, embassies, various sectors of the economy, and young people. The programme featured performances by prominent figures in culture and the arts, as well as a large-scale thematic exhibition highlighting the country’s humanitarian and creative potential.

The speeches emphasised the international significance of Turkmenistan’s permanent neutrality, its contribution to strengthening peace and trust, and the development of sustainable partnerships with leading international organisations and states. Particular attention was paid to the consistent domestic and foreign policy of the President of Turkmenistan, aimed at ensuring stability and progress. At the conclusion of the event, the participants adopted an address to the Head of State.
