National Leader Honoured with Jubilee Neutrality Medal
The National Leader of the Turkmen people and Chairman of the Halk Maslahaty of Turkmenistan, Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov, has been awarded a jubilee medal marking the 30th anniversary of Turkmenistan’s permanent neutrality, along with a set of commemorative insignia. The corresponding decree was signed by the President of Turkmenistan, Serdar Berdimuhamedov, the Watan television programme reported.

The award recognises National Leader's substantial personal contribution to strengthening the country’s neutral status, implementing wide-ranging reforms, enhancing Turkmenistan’s international standing, and advancing a policy of peace, trust and sustainable development.
A solemn award ceremony honouring foreign nationals and respected elders of Turkmenistan also was held in Ashgabat to celebrate a landmark anniversary. The event served as a vivid demonstration of the international recognition of the country’s neutral course, the legal status of which has been affirmed on three occasions by resolutions of the United Nations General Assembly.
