14.02.26

At a ceremonial reception celebrating the birthday of Emperor Naruhito of Japan, the Japanese Ambassador to Turkmenistan, Sasaki Hiroshi, highlighted the exceptionally good relations between the two countries. In 2025, the President of Turkmenistan, Serdar Berdimuhamedov, visited Japan twice — in April for the EXPO-2025 in Osaka and in December for the Summit under the “Central Asia + Japan” Dialogue.

The diplomat emphasised that significant progress has been made over the year in developing bilateral relations, including the implementation of major economic projects.

Representatives of the parent company Ojar Aziya and the subsidiary TMT Consulting Group were also invited to the ceremonial reception. In 2026, the embassy plans to expand its activities, including supporting Japanese businesses, educational programmes, and cultural exchange.
