10.12.25

Starting tomorrow, residents of Turkmenistan will enjoy an extended series of public holidays. In honour of the 30th anniversary of Turkmenistan’s permanent neutrality and the International Year of Peace and Trust, President Serdar Berdimuhamedov has signed a Decree introducing additional non-working days.

According to Decree No. PP-602 of 5 December 2025, 11, 12 and 13 December (Thursday, Friday and Saturday) have been declared non-working days. As these dates are followed by Sunday, 14 December, citizens will have the opportunity to celebrate the national occasion and rest for four consecutive days.

The Decree emphasises that the decision was taken “to create favourable conditions for the population to solemnly celebrate the International Day of Neutrality and to ensure appropriate rest.”

These additional public holidays are mandatory for all institutions, enterprises and organisations, regardless of their form of ownership.
