EIB Targets Projects in Turkmenistan

The European Investment Bank plans to begin operations in Turkmenistan following the signing of a framework agreement, according to Olivier Queni, Head of the Bank’s Regional Representation for Central Asia. He noted that priority areas are expected to include sustainable transport, digitalisation, and infrastructure investment projects that meet environmental and social standards.

In addition, the EIB is taking part in the co-ordination platform of the Trans-Caspian Transport Corridor, working with international partners on cross-border transport and digital solutions. These initiatives are expected to strengthen regional integration and support economic growth across Central Asia.
