The International Relations Institute of Turkmenistan’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs hosted a conference dedicated to the country’s diplomatic priorities on Diplomacy Day. Participants included government officials, heads of diplomatic missions, and young diplomats.

The President of Turkmenistan Serdar Berdimuhamedow, in his congratulatory address emphasized that Turkmenistan’s neutrality remains the foundation of regional stability, while the professionalism of diplomats is key to the country’s peaceful foreign policy.

Foreign Minister Rashid Meredov described modern Turkmen diplomacy as not just a tool but the vanguard of global processes, offering a “people-centered model of global governance.” He highlighted the importance of respecting national characteristics, social support for citizens, and Turkmenistan’s role in UN reforms.

Special attention was given to training young diplomats and using technologies, including artificial intelligence, as a support tool rather than a replacement for the human factor. International guests from the UN, the UK, Italy, and Armenia praised Ashgabat’s initiatives and practical projects.
The conference concluded with awards for young staff and discussions on strategic projects, including international integration, transport corridors, and regional connectivity.
