In 2025, Turkmenistan’s food exports increased by 30%, exceeding 263,000 tonnes, the State Customs Service of Turkmenistan reported.
The country remains a regional leader in greenhouse tomato exports, with fresh tomato shipments surpassing 181,000 tonnes – 21% higher than in 2024.

Exports of vegetables and fresh fruits grew by 5%, packaged food by 3%, confectionery by 123%, and non-alcoholic beverages by 282.6%. Around 6,000 tonnes of table eggs and 26,000 tonnes of grain were also exported during the year.

The Customs Service prioritises the clearance of food products at border points, ensuring timely delivery to consumers. It also regularly meets with private producers, provides guidance on customs legislation, and informs them about new services aligned with current trade requirements.
